What makes these different from a supermarket jar
Most pickle on a shop shelf is built to sit there for two years. That means vinegar, acetic acid, sodium benzoate, and a colour added to make up for what the processing took out. Ours is built the way it is made at home, which means salt, sugar, sun and cold pressed mustard oil do the preserving, and the jar is finished within nine months of opening instead of sitting around for two years.
The practical difference is taste. A preservative heavy pickle tastes flat and slightly sharp no matter what fruit went into it. Take the preservatives out and the mango tastes like mango, the garlic tastes like garlic, and each jar in the range tastes properly different from the one next to it.
Picking your first jar
If you have not bought from a small kitchen before, start with the one closest to what you already eat.
Two sizes, and which to order
Every pickle comes in a 200 g and a 500 g glass jar. The 200 g is the right first order, and most households finish it in three to four weeks. Once you know which one you actually reach for, the 500 g works out cheaper per gram. Four jars at a time gets you the bundle price.
How we ship
Jars are double sealed and bubble wrapped, and orders leave Kolkata within 24 hours. Shipping is free above 599. If a jar arrives broken, send a photo and we replace it, no questions and no return needed.
